According to a recent study, there are 671,000 homeless individuals in America and throughout the year there will be over 4,000 homeless people in Austin alone. Many of these individuals are referred to as “transients,” who are homeless people that travel across the country and reside on the streets of each city for a number of days.

What are the stories behind this lifestyle? How are they surviving day-to-day? What legal issues deal with the homeless population? And how can you help? Our mission is to answer these questions and provide a better understanding of this way of life to the public.
